network

Cross-Disciplinary Urban Space is a research network established by Giulio Giovannoni and Silvia Ross in 2015 in order to advance the debate on urban space from diverse disciplinary perspectives.
The network organizes the seminar series entitled ‘Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives on Urban Space’, hosted by the Department of Architecture, University of Florence. The 2014-2015 seminars included a range of scholars from disciplines such as urban planning, geography, literary studies, urban history, aesthetics, and urban sociology. These included Medina Lasansky (Cornell University), Richard Ingersoll (Syracuse University of Florence), and Marco Cenzatti (UC Berkeley), among other specialists. Current projects include the organization of the conference ‘Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives on Urban Space’, also to be held at the Department of Architecture, University of Florence, 27-28 June, 2016.
